Nearly half of all children are bullied at some time during their school years and 10% are bullied on a regular basis. Bullies often choose children who are passive, easily intimidated, or have few friends. Victims are often smaller or younger and have a hard time defending themselves. Bullying interferes with the victim’s social and emotional development, school performance, and many victim’s think about suicide.
